This lens, which features 10 lens elements in 9 groups, including one large-diameter aspherical lens, combines outstanding F1.4 brightness at maximum aperture with an exceptional optical performance. The use of one Super ED lens and three ED lenses suppresses chromatic aberration to minimize color bleeding. A floating focus system allows macro shots at a closest focusing distance of 38 cm. An aperture ring on the lens barrel gives this lens, when mounted on the LUMIX DMC-L1, a familiar analog operating feel.
