	Imagine circulară proiectată APS-C Obiectivele care creează imagini proiectate APS-C sunt dezvoltate pentru aparatele de fotografiat digitale. Ele nu pot fi folosite cu aparate care au senzor de imagine mai mare ca şi formatul APS-C. Aceste obiective nu sunt compatibile cu aparatele de fotografiat pe bază de film. AF neultrasonic Obiectivele cu mecanism de focalizare ultrasonică tind să fie mai silenţioase şi mai rapide decât cele cu focalizare tradiţională. Stabilizarea imaginii poate avea un avantaj de la 1 la 3 trepte în comparaţie cu obiectivele nestabilizate, bazate pe regula reciprocă.

Good value for a Fisheye Lens

This is a compact, well built and fairly light lens which comes from the same production line as the Pentax 10-17mm fisheye lens. It therefore fits both Samsung and Pentax DSLR's. In fact, this Samsung Lens arrived, from Amazon, with a soft pouch with Pentax labelled on it. Perhaps this will go some way to resolving the online debates as to whether the two lenses are really different, apart from the Samsung being about £70 cheaper than the Pentax, that is.

As another reviewer (of the Pentax equivalent) said, 'it is a FISHEYE', thereby reminding us not to expect optical miracles (other than being able to see one's shoes and hat in the same image). That means that the lens is struggling to resolve a curved image, up to 180 degrees (corner to corner of the collected image) on to a little flat sensor thing. It doesn't do too badly though, especially if the lens is stopped down a bit, but one cannot expect pin-sharpness. Chromatic aberration is also inevitable towards the edges, especially with high contrast edges. However, neither are particularly obvious when viewing the full image and looking at a tiny magnified bit of it would defeat the object of using a fisheye anyway. I reckon therefore, that this lens loses just one star for being a close to perfect, but not quite, as one would expect.

Fortunately, the colour fringes can (almost) be removed, and the image sharpened up, using modern software, leaving the user to enjoy taking fascinating images of everyday objects. Towards the 17mm end of the range, this lens behaves more conventionally anyway so it can be used for standard wide angle work. Moreover, there's software out there that can turn the fisheye images into straightened-out super-wide angle shots, so this lens has a secondary use in place of a more expensive (very) wide angle lens.
